5 Year election plans – India

The Lok Sabha Elections in India concluded with the result announcements on 16 May 2014 and the final swearing-in of the new Prime Minister and his cabinet on 26 May 2014. These elections have revived the democracy in more ways than one, bringing in a new fervour amongst the youth to participate in the process.

While interacting with many Aam Aadmi Party volunteers, I’ve noticed a twitchiness to get going for the next elections; bring about a change as quickly as they can. I’m not sure this matrix is exactly correct – the Election Commission often changes the dates of the elections for the states- but it does provide an overview of the Vidhan Sabha elections across India for the next 5 years. Wherever you are in India, start preparing!
